Orbit Housing
Athena Activities, for the last five years, has been working with Orbit Housing Association to provide residents with free activity camps during the school holidays.
Orbit approached Athena Activities with the issue of anti-social behaviour in Kettering. After the first six-week summer camp incidents of anti-social behaviour on the estate dropped dramatically.
Post-lockdown, our Orbit-funded venue was used as a professional environment for social workers to catch up with those families who need support.
Our highly trained staff are regularly utilised as a point of contact for struggling parents to seek advice from outside organisations.
Athena has been able to improve and monitor the physical and mental well-being of Orbit families and other vulnerable children in the area. This has led to a successful and ongoing partnership between Athena Activities and Orbit.
Greatwell Homes
Since 2022, Athena Activities have worked closely alongside Greatwell Homes, allowing us to extend our services to families in Wellingborough.
Greatwell Homes, leading community projects in and around Wellingborough’s Queensway area, have entrusted Athena to help deliver on their Live Greatwell corporate plan, empowering communities to Live Proud, Live Green, Live Happy, & Live Safe.
This partnership has since culminated in the successful running of our first provision in Croyland Nursery School & Day Nursery, as Greatwell Homes and Athena Activities continue to explore opportunities to support even more families.
Your Housing Association
Athena Activities are looking to expand, which involves offering our vital services to housing associations and schools across Northamptonshire.
As your community ambassadors, Athena Activities will:
- Find a venue(s) in your area, local to your tenants
- Reach out to local schools & social services
- Provide you with regular monitoring updates
- Have a dedicated Funding Executive to source funding for all of our projects
- Provide meals for children
- Provide well-trained dedicated DBS-checked staff
- Guarantee the venues are deep cleaned regularly
- Provide risk assessments
- Provide specialised segmented marketing
